Z-Twist denotes the direction of twist, to the right looking up, in a single thread or
folded yarn.
Opposite of
S-Twist.
The amount of twist is measured in turns per unit length of the yarn. e.g. turns per inch; turns per 100cm.
Zacki is the term used to describe the notch which forms the pile height in a
Reed. The sculptured notch separates the weft threads in face-to-face weaving.
The dimensions of the notch determine the height of the
Pile in the fabric to be woven.
