Three computer-savvy Hipperholme Grammar School sixth formers travelled to London to receive an award for their web-page designs.
In a competition run by the Science Museum and sponsored by Toshiba, the students had to design web-pages for a museum.
Seventeen-year-olds Joanne Thornton, James Holdsworth and Michael Samples designed web-pages featuring the Wired World gallery at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford.
Their work was judged to be in the top three in the country, having been selected from more than 1,000 entries and they enjoyed an all-expenses-paid trip to London with the school's IT co-ordinator Phil Smith to a presentation to receive their award from Seb Clover, youngest person ever to sail across the Atlantic alone.
"They have done very well," said head-teacher Chris Robinson. "With websites now so important to business, they'll be in demand as employees shortly."
The school has been nominated twice in the 12 to 18-year-old category.
